Giuseppe De Luca (Rome 1876 – New York 1950), a legendary vocal performer, one of the greatest baritones of all time, a pillar of New York’s Metropolitan Opera House from 1915 to 1935. The singer partnered the greats of his time from Caruso to Gigli, Lina Cavalieri, Chaliapin, and Lauri Volpi, a favourite with contemporary composers and beloved by directors like Toscanini.
